In this May Issue: Retreat Review: Your Relationship to Money Women's Retreat Announcements Upcoming Retreats/Workshops RETREAT REVIEW ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your Relationship to Money: A Women's Retreat at Thirteen Moons was a remarkable success. Participants had opportunity to express how they currently felt about money, and explore how their family related to money issues while they were growing up. There was generous time spent journal writing- deepening their insights as they reflected on their creative process. The group created a project that focused on scarcity, what their greatest fears based on scarcity looked like and then dared to experiment and explore through expressive drama in the teepee. The women experienced a transforming empowerment while naming their greatest fear out loud, giving it a face and deflating it in the process. They also gained important insights into how they had created a crutch out of the scarcity belief system they had habitually chosen to cling to. By Sunday afternoon each participant had experienced a shift from a stuck narrow space, moving into feelings of self-determination and greater self-worth. Participants considered alternative future choices, navigated by new tools issued from deeper self-knowledge. This was truly wonderful to witness as facilitator. Here's what was said about the retreat: "It is truly amazing how the truth in the art manifests itself in sometimes an unconscious manner." "Laila is very, very good at what she does. Expect to be challenged and expect to be wiser for it." "I especially liked the creative activities followed by journaling followed by talking- processing on many levels." "Laila skillfully guided us through the activities and healing work that was perfect for the moment- even if it only made sense after the fact!" "The experience that stands out is the synchronicity of everything that transpired." ~ Announcements
